About the Job:

Taco Bell is looking for a highly motivated leader with demonstrated strength in project management, problem solving, and intellectual curiosity to serve as a Project Manager in the newly formed Marketing Operations Department, primarily supporting the Taco Bell Brand Strategy team.  

This is a high impact position that plays an integral role in improving the efficiency and productivity of the business by improving the operating system through which Marketing strategy is developed and delivered.  This role supports a key central team within the Taco Bell Marketing function that leads annual and experience level Marketing strategy, working cross functionally with key functional experts.  Given the scale of the Marketing budget and the number of brand and food related Marketing campaigns developed, this role will be responsible for leading all activities related to design and implementation, and documentation of the processes to execute campaign strategy and delivery, while actively mitigating risks and managing issues to ensure marketing delivered timely and successfully. 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Oversee the processes to develop our integrated marketing plans, the end-to-end workflow process, and its supporting systems to ensure that marketing communication programs are tracking to established timelines
  • Embedded within the Brand Strategy team, to establish consistent processes, documentation, delivery monitoring, and developing recommendations to improve efficiency to deliver on challenging timetables
  • Partner with brand pillar lead and to oversee the executional and operational workflow of full-scale campaigns from project kickoff to national launch.
  • Partner with internal and external agencies to coordinate workback schedules for all experiences and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and integrated marketing teams to track go-to-market materials and tactics for launches.
  • Work with external agencies and internal teams/agencies to ensure the creation and prompt delivery of assets needed for launch.
  • Lead the conversation around integrated marketing calendar, resourcing and staffing plans with the Marketing leadership identifying project priorities are met.
  • Create, communicate, and manage detailed project plans that span across multiple partners and stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Organize and drive day-to-day progress of project(s) and release initiatives with regard to schedule, budget, scope and quality
  • Evaluate existing ways of working for Brand Marketing to minimize complexity and enable successful change management to improve efficiency
  • Actively identify and address risk, issues; and mitigation efforts as they relate to marketing delivery.
  • Active involvement and influence in building out project management capabilities by participating in establishing standard tools and best practices that can be used across projects, across the larger project management team.
  • Contribute to building a high-performance culture and a sense of camaraderie within the Front of House cross functional team.

Is This You?

  • 7+ years of project management experience, preferably within Marketing / creative departments / organizations
  • Strong knowledge of internal Marketing operations and processes to develop campaigns
  • BA or BS Degree; MBA preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated track record of project planning, execution, tracking and post-mortem analysis.
  • Strong logical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively develop and build new operational processes
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, concepts, practices, procedures and standards
  • Superb interpersonal communication skills, with ability to partner well with other team members
  • Resourceful nature, with strong problem-solving and customer-service orientation
  • Ability to impact & influence stakeholders - have productive conflict at a high level to drive desired outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to work independently, multi-task, and adapt to change in a complex, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
  • Strong internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking and desire to have a large impact on our organization
  • Strong team player, willing and able to lead as well as step in, roll up your sleeves, and do the work.
  • Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications and Project Collaboration tools
  • Experience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), retail, and/or multiunit chain/franchise environment a plus
