About the Job:

Taco Bell is looking for a Manager to lead the Field Finance team, which is part of the Finance Department. Working lockstep with Field Operations and Financial Planning and Analysis teams, the Manager of Field Finance leads a team that is responsible for the company-owned restaurant P&L—including FP&A responsibilities and real-time performance & financial management. The Manager works closely with senior field leaders, cross functional partners, and senior leaders to drive results across Taco Bell’s more than 475+ company-owned restaurants.

The Field Finance team is a dynamic point of entry into the Taco Bell organization, often serving as a launching point for various parts of the Taco Bell and Yum businesses. 

This position is ideal for individuals with high accountability, strong analytical skills, great communication style, a partnership mentality, and that is comfortable turning facts into recommendations.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Partner with FP&A to prepare annual operating plans; oversee period close and quarterly forecasts
    • Lead creation and review of 475+ store-level financial plans
    • Partner with Operations and cross-functional partners to incorporate plan feedback and recommendations
    • Provide clear and concise updates to executive leaders on financial performance

  • Collaborate with operations leadership team to ensure equity stores are hitting or exceeding financial targets
    • Lead period-end financial stewardship process with the field leadership team
    • Oversee development of timely and insightful recommendations to operations team to drive performance management
    • Provide regular updates to finance and operations leadership teams on process and performance
    • Lead field bonus design and oversee bonus execution

  • Lead strategic initiatives, focused on sales and margin growth as well as operational efficiencies
    • Active role with teams designed to uncover, identify, and/or create productivity opportunities for Taco Bell
    • Continually drive process improvement and efficiency
    • Act as a lead finance partner for all-things related to company restaurants
  • Coach and develop team to become next generation leaders
    • Responsible for leading 3 finance professionals
    • Provide coaching to ensure the Field Finance team has line-item expertise
    • Be a leader and thought partner throughout the broader finance team

Is This You?

  • BA required; analytical degree preferred (e.g., Economics, Mathematics, Engineering); MBA a plus
  • 8+ years relevant work experience (e.g., Corporate Finance, Restaurants, CPG, Retail, Consulting)
  • Experience leading direct reports
  • Strong internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking and desire to have a large impact on our organization
  • Proven ability to act independently to manage multiple competing priorities and make impactful business decisions
  • Demonstrated success influencing diverse customers and leading teams that include non-direct repots in cross-functional settings
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner
  • Excellent story-telling and presentation-writing skills, with ability to convey sophisticated concepts in a clear and compelling way
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint
