The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the Enterprise IT Infrastructure team. We are looking for a motivated Network Engineer that’s looking for the opportunity to build upon their networking skills.

What you will Do:

  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers from Cisco and Fortinet
  • Support in designing, documenting, testing, and troubleshooting of network integrations in LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Conduct routine maintenance, patching, and vulnerability remediation of all network infrastructure
  • Perform engineering level analysis of networking alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and network enhancement design for medium and large-scale infrastructures.
  • Address INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for all networks
  • Execute projects across the enterprise infrastructure with the Sr. Network Engineer with accountability for the project outcome through sound project management skills
  • Ensure high availability of all critical network infrastructure while meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Support disaster recovery planning, implementation, and operations of all business systems a plus: propose service levels, data types, recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO) that align with a business impact analysis outcome to meet company objectives
  • Document all network infrastructure, processes, and procedures

Who you Are: 

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
  • 5+ years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience related to network design, implementation, and administration
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field preferred (equivalent experience and certifications considered)
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware from Cisco and/or Fortinet
  • Has thorough knowledge of general Local Area Network (LAN)/ Wide Area Network (WAN) administration
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and Microsoft networking concepts with work experience in designing, deploying, and supporting Local Area and Wide Area Networks
  • Ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations
  • Available for occasional off-hours outages and to take part in service restoration efforts
