STR has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with Federal Government Property experience in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence industries to join our outstanding and growing Contracts team. This role offers unparalleled opportunities to develop, implement, and lead Government Property activities with internal and external stakeholders and customers, take on project oversight responsibilities, and gain valuable experience. The successful candidate will have high energy, commitment to excellence, strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success in Federal Government Property administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform life-cycle Government Property administration (cradle to grave) for a high volume of Government contracts within a diverse portfolio
  • Maintain auditable records from receipt to final disposition of Contractor-acquired property, and Government-furnished property in accordance with company and contract requirements
  • Conduct periodic audits of Contractor-acquired property and Government-furnished property
  • Provide Government Property guidance as the Subject Matter Expert on all new business proposals or contract awards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements in day-to-day execution and during audits as the primary company interface and point of contact
  • Recommend, develop, and implement continuous process improvements to scale and optimize activities and practices
  • Collaborate closely and communicate effectively and professionally with STR personnel from Business Operations and Technical groups on a regular basis
  • Participate in special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • More than three (3) years of Federal Government Property administration experience with DoD and Intelligence customers
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and general contracts law principles
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal regulations and related acquisition policies and guidance
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • National Property Management Association (NPMA) or equivalent certifications preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed to other STR sites

This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government.
