Overview:

We are looking for a Business Operations Lead who will own our business operations strategy and specifically, the  integration of newly-acquired businesses to Sylva’s systems and team. This person will partner closely with our leadership team and cross functional partners to drive strategic initiatives for our growing portfolio of communities. This is a highly visible role and we want someone who is results-oriented and can build strong relationships, ensuring alignment across teams and providing a successful transition for all of our communities. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Working closely with M&A team and the leaders of newly-acquired communities to transition them successfully to Sylva’s ownership
  • Working cross functionally with all team leaders and executives to ensure integration preparedness, resourcing, and alignment
  • Developing a playbook and systems to scale both our integration process and all business operations to support high-volume (5+ per month) acquisitions
  • Collaborating with internal teams to build scalable processes that will serve as the connective tissue between community leaders, GMs, and Sylva’s teams
  • Identifying ways to improve our internal processes, spearheading projects to address them, and potentially starting teams to own them going forward

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Either 4-6 years in a transactional environment, preferably with experience in private equity, corporate M&A, consulting, or investment banking (in the M&A group), OR 4-6 years in an highly operational role at a fast-growing startup
  • A strong understanding of best practices and tools that could be used for a successful integration 
  • Strong project management skills and ability to problem solve quickly
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively in a remote first environment
