The Learning Implementation Partner is an integral part of the sweetgreen Learning + Development team responsible for the implementation and assessment of field based learning and development for salaried and hourly team members.  These responsibilities roll up into two main areas:


  • Support the Business Through Field Learning + Development:  
    • Support succession planning through partnership with Area Leaders and Regional People Managers to facilitate leadership training of external talent, development of high potential talent, identification and mentorship of future trainers and training restaurants
    • Onboard, train and ensure Certified Training Restaurant teams are upholding the highest of standards; ensure quality training environments, facilitation and develop skills around people assessment + feedback through training tools, seek feedback from graduates in the spirit of continuous improvement
    • Evaluate training performance within the market against standards + take action through partnership with Area Leader and Regional People Manager when necessary; create training plans for outliers as well as seek best practices from top of the class
    • Develop and maintain a point of view on the role training plays in supporting the business needs of the market (training strategies around how to improve results, prepare and open new restaurants, create bench, etc.)
  • Facilitate Learning Content:
    • NRO training: partner with Area Leaders to determine NRO training teams, hold specialized NRO Train the Trainer classes in preparation for NRO training, support and guide NRO trainers + NRO Head Coach from Orientation through GO / Captain Training, validate NRO training program is being executed and delivering desired results
    • Train the Trainer: hold Train the Trainer classes for Trainers, NRO and Certified Training Restaurant trainers, validate trainer performance against standards and coaching expectations
    • Field Leadership training: facilitate online + in person leadership and skills classes for internal high potential promotes as well as external field leadership hires,
    • Intra-team feedback: download feedback from the field around training efficacy and execution + determine roadblocks or additional training as needed, provide feedback to the implementation and instructional design team on ways to improve, what is working well

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on leadership of a fast-casual or full service restaurant
  • Minimum of 2 years of non-classroom training facilitation (such as running a training store, on the job training, etc.)
  • At least 1 year of administrative duties that included: following up + responding to email, attending conference calls, basic use of word/excel
  • Prior experience facilitating classroom training, following a facilitator guide
  • Prior experience working cross functionally
