Sweet is looking for a Data Engineer who will be responsible for creating and managing custom ETL pipelines for reporting and machine learning efforts. The engineer will be responsible for expanding our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams and projects. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of building Sweet’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.

This position is fully remote and open to individuals living anywhere, so long as you can be available to work during US east coast hours.

Your impact: 

  • Assemble data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Generate optimized SQL queries to extract, transform and load data in repeatable and automated workflows
  • Create ad hoc data exports to support the needs of internal business partners
  • Build and maintain automated ETL pipelines that will support various functions throughout Sweet

You have the right experience and expertise if you:

  • Python Familiarity (for data manipulation and movement)
  • Proficiency with SQL and a strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with common AWS platforms: Lambda, S3, Cloudwatch, etc
  • Data Engineering for machine learning efforts is a plus
  • Data visualization experience also a plus
