Job Overview: Sustainment is seeking a smart, passionate and collaborative Senior Product Manager to join our Product team. If you have experience in enterprise software, an obsession with data, and know how to operate in a dynamic startup environment, you may be the perfect fit!

In this role, you will define and execute the platform roadmap by partnering closely with executive, engineering, and customer success teams. Your focus will be to lead and manage all of our products focused on our federal and defense customers. This position will report to the VP of Product.


  • Creative problem-solving with a mix of best practices, processes, partnerships and tooling.
  • Research, flesh out requirements, discover new ways to innovate, and plan iterations in concert with the Engineering, UX, Customer Success and Marketing teams. Nothing happens without communication and collaboration with these groups.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers, UX Designers and Data Scientists to ensure roadmap alignment with a broader product portfolio.
  • Gather market feedback and requirements directly from customers and prospects as well as from Sustainment’s Federal Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams.
  • Launch your product and product features, including rollout planning, internal and external communication, testing and all the last minute decision-making required to actually get something incredible out the door.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to current products and methods as well as competitors' products.
  • Participate in the identification and definition of further product and solution opportunities with the federal and defense space


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of product management
  • Experience working in a venture-backed startup.
  • Extremely strong verbal, visual and written communication skills, and can message appropriately for all levels of the organization using data and visualizations.
  • Passion and empathy for the product and for our users and strong belief in the mission of creating customer and user value. 
  • Proven critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and act with autonomy.
  • Detail oriented, but also strategic. You should be able to context switch from giving a company presentation to making decisions about minute implementation details with ease and aplomb.

Desired but not Required:

  • Experience working within the Federal government or with the Federal Government as a customer
  • Experience in eCommerce, supply chain and/or logistics
