Product Design at Momentive is all about getting to the heart of customer needs while aiming for a bold. We're on a mission to power the curious, bring better design to the business world, and while we're at it we'd like to make our mark with stunning data visualizations, personable interfaces, and a commitment to empathizing with our users. We work in five offices across the globe (plus home offices for now), where we work closely with our counterparts in Product Management, Marketing and Engineering. What we're looking for

We're looking for multiple Product Designers (across multiple teams) who are curious about customers and passionate about data-driven design. Your resourcefulness and creative efficiency will help you navigate through uncertainty. You'll be responsible for working with Product and Engineering to solve customer problems with elegant interactions, intuitive UI, and a passion for helping customers turn data into insights. We are looking for someone with an appetite for evaluating ideas through customer research and interpreting quantitative & qualitative data for each project.

You will

  • Tailor your design process to the situation, anticipate obstacles to chart a course forward
  • Demonstrate a thoughtful design approach, and tell a clear experience story through your design solutions, which are based on qualitative and quantitative feedback. Experience conducting usability studies is a plus.
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional peers, including Product Management, Engineering, Data Analysts, Marketing, User Research, Content Strategy and Localization

You have

  • Experience on a product design team working across the entire product development lifecycle and successfully shipping products. Experience designing web-based applications required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
  • Experience collaborating with other designers to create a cohesive product experience, both leveraging and contributing to a centralized design system.
  • Appreciate feedback – you will give it, receive it, seek it out through critiques and retrospectives
  • Value communication, organization and thoughtful rationale in design decisions
  • Care about the impact of the products you design, not just the artifacts you create
  • Experienced with Figma, Sketch, Invision, Creative Suite, and knowledgeable about HTML, CSS. You can adopt new tools, designs and technology into your work and teach them to others.
  • A portfolio is required with application and must demonstrate your passion for simple, intuitive, and beautiful user-centered designs. Work examples should exhibit your product design thinking skills from ideation to implementation, and showcase product design, visual design, and usability aptitudes.
  • Ability to craft your calendar with flexible locations and schedules for many roles
