A Technician 2 is expected to manufacture a limited number of products in accordance with supplied Standard Operating Procedures, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, in a clean, controlled environment. This includes working under microscopes and general catheter manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
Laboratory Bench Work (100%)
Assemble small medical devices manually with hand tools, often under microscopes
Process, clean and package medical devices per Standard Operating Procedures as directed by the production planner
Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines for medical manufacturing
Assist in general organization of the laboratory, inventory and manufacturing areas
Prepare and submit samples to the appropriate QC department
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma
2+ years’ experience in small parts assembly
Strong communication skills
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Experience working under microscopes
Demonstrated hands-on dexterity in working with small/intricate parts
Demonstrated ability to read and follow basic mechanical drawings and manufacturing instructions
Experience with various measuring tools such as ruler, calipers, micrometers, thickness gages and depth gages in both metric and imperial units
Experience working in a clean room and/or controlled manufacturing area in a medical device company
