We are looking for a Line Lead to join us in our mission. This role is based in our facility in Ballinasloe, Co . Galway and offers a 4 day condensed working week, inclusive of Monday to Thursday. 

Job Summary

The Production Line Lead as a member of the production team is responsible for coordinating production personnel, materials, and documentation to ensure productions schedules are achieved in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate builds in line with production schedule to ensure customer demand is met daily

  • Manage batch records demand and co-ordinate personnel to meet agreed build plans

  • Co-ordinated training and cross training of new and existing production personnel. Monitor and report training versatility status. Identify gaps and recommend cross training plan.

  • Manage supply and stock control of materials, sub-assemblies etc.

  • Meet required line production outputs in terms of quality and output ensuring customer expectations are met.

  • Complete all required documentation accurately, clearly, and completely in line with specific procedures and GMP & GDP standards.

  • Train up on multiple production steps and rotate between tasks as required / directed.

  • Performs tasks as directed in production/manufacturing area and have the ability to rotate through the production/manufacturing as required

  • Follow written instruction in full in performing tasks ensuring that all paperwork is completed and signed off appropriately.

  • Integrate into the production Team, exercise a high level of attention in performing all tasks and take pride in performing tasks well. Contribute improvement ideas and participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Responsible for Time and Attendance system for direct reports

  • Participate in Performance Management appraisal process

  • Lead Team to work in a safe manner that is compliant to company health and safety policies

  • Be the point of contact for area in the absence of the production Supervisor.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Pass leaving cert, ideally with previous experience in a regulated production environment.

Competencies and Attributes

  • Must be able to write basic procedures and help ensure that all manufacturing top assembly process steps are performed by team members in accordance with written standards and are in compliance at all times.

  • Act as a good team member helping to support the Production Supervisor  on the effective running of the line on an everyday basis

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills, builds effective relationships with production team members and employees in other functions

  • A self starter, takes the initiative and seeks to continually improve the effectiveness of team members.

  • Good interpersonal skills, builds effective relationships with employees in other Dept’s, ie. Technicians and Engineers.

  • Ability to effectively manage a simultaneous range of activities

  • Proficient in MS office applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

  • Can display a high level of efficiency on Syspro and train others on the system

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) an advantage.
