SupplyHouse.com, an innovative e-commerce heating, plumbing, and HVAC supply company, is searching for a highly motivated Product Owner to join our team and take ownership of our data infrastructure and quality. This individual will collaborate with various stakeholders to integrate new tools and technologies, as well as work closely with the CX (Customer Experience) team to drive website and app improvements. They will be responsible for managing our Customer Data Platform (CDP), and will play a key role in improving internal systems and serving as the Product Owner for systems-related projects.

This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters up to three times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.

Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin)

Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy.

Salary: $90,000 – $110,000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Own management of the Customer Data Platform (CDP) as well as tags across the website and app to ensure accurate data collection
    • Monitor data quality and optimize data infrastructure performance
    • Document and prioritize improvement opportunities
    • Lead efforts to integrate new tools and technologies into our data infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Marketing, and Analytics
  • Define requirements for new data tagging needs and conduct quality checks prior to launch
  • Serve as the Product Owner for systems-related projects:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities
    • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on progress, identifying risks and issues, and coordinating resolution efforts as needed
    • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, and effectively communicating impacts to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Collaborate with the CX team to identify opportunities for website and app improvements based on data insights, customer feedback, and industry best practices
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in data management and e-commerce, and make recommendations for future enhancements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in product management or product ownership (preferably e-commerce or data-related roles)
  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, including experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), tag management systems, and data analytics tools
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive product development and improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience and passion for quality assurance
  • Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
