What we do:

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, Procurement & Supply Chain, the role is responsible for the development and implementation of supply chain plans including strategic sourcing plans, make vs buy inputs, supplier/partner identification and selection, negotiating and closing high value long term agreements, supplier relationship management, supplier partnership and development as well as general contractual supplier support for all assigned Supernal engineering verticals. The position also manages projects/programs across the entire lifecycle, including proposal development, new product introduction, rate increase and mass production to meet quality, total cost, delivery, and inventory goals. This position will coordinate suppliers related to Avionics, Electrical, Flight Controls, Actuation, Inceptor and Landing Gear.

What you can do:

  • Leads the development and implementation of Supernal’s supply strategy including strategic sourcing & commodity plans simultaneously for assigned vertical(s) to achieve business requirements
  • Identifies, selects & develops strategic supplier partnerships to generate new supplier capability or competency to generate competitive advantage. Includes determining required investment in training & development
  • Supports and makes recommendations to facilitate Make vs Buy strategy decisions
  • Evaluates global market environment and makes recommendations for sourcing strategies
  • Develops channels of supply to achieve reduced lead time and inventory holding, increased quality and delivery and therefore lowest total cost
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Contract & pricing negotiation
  • Leadership of a cross functional team and ability to influence decision making at all levels of the business
  • Leads and mentors a team of direct reports
  • Up to 10% of domestic travel
  • Other duties as assigned

What you can contribute:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business required
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in the field of manufacturing
  • Experience in Aerospace Electronics, Actuation and Software preferred, Automotive industry experience a plus
  • 5 years of previous supervisory experience preferred
  • MBA/MS preferred
  • Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, and/or Program Management a plus

  • Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The pay range for this position is:
$208,541$312,811 USD
