sunday Country Launcher

About the Role

sunday is rapidly expanding in Europe and we are looking for a German Country Launcher to assess the market, onboard partners and customers, define and activate go-to-market strategy.

The Country Launcher will be a fast and relentless executor, with a strong level of autonomy, from local entity setup to day-to- day operations. This individual will play a pivotal role in the success of sunday expansion plan and will drive all the steps of country launch: to legal entity setup to hiring, from commercial agreement to product localization. 

The Country Launcher will have full ownership of sunday’s performance in the country (Gross Transaction Volume, Restaurant satisfaction, Team satisfaction & engagement). She/he will work closely with Central Functions (e.g., Global Sales, Global Operations) as well as other Country Launchers and GMs in established geographies.

The Country Launcher owns the results and performance of their geographic area and will be expected to participate in the Sales cycle for the highest value prospective accounts as well as oversee the onboarding of restaurant partners.

What You'll Do

  • Build from scratch the sunday’s foundations in the country (legal, fiscal, team structure)
  • Develop local expertise of the restaurant and hospitality landscape in the countries
  • Build a vision and strategy for winning in your country...
  • ...and execute it at fast pace (80/20 mindset)
  • Understand and anticipate customers and partners’ need
  • Hire, train, and lead a brilliant Sales and Operations team, to drive commercial strategy and execution.  We are looking exclusively for people that match our core criteria : Entrepreneurial mindset, Autonomy, Team player, Growth mindset, Ambitious, Fun.
  • Own performance of active restaurant partners to drive adoption of sunday and grow GTV
  • Establish strong working relationships with the central functions (e.g., Sales, OPS, Product) to help identify and addresses operational priorities in support of customer adoption and engagement

Basic Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate holds a Master's Degree with preference in Business or a related field, brings 8+ years of relevant experience in a field such as operations, finance, management, management consulting, and/or corporate strategy and has led or made significant contributions to the launch or scale of either restaurant, a relevant startup or high-growth technology company
  • German Fluency

  • An entrepreneurial mindset, passion for building things, working towards a shared goal, and ownership of outcomes

  • Experience in scale-up and high growth companies and dynamic industries
