Sumo Logic is seeking an experienced product management leader to help define and drive the vision for our award-winning Sumo Logic platform that underpins our Log Analytics, Security, and Observability products.
You will be working very closely with engineering, portfolio product management teams, sales and marketing to ensure successful delivery and execution in the market.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Defining vision, strategy and roadmap to deliver a product platform that our customers value and creates a leadership position for our products
- Identifying opportunities based on innovations, drive product development with multiple global teams
- Working as a player-coach to lead features while also leading a team
- Develop detailed product requirements, features, integrations and use cases. Own prioritization, functional requirements
- Working with your peers in product and portfolio management to prioritize features in-line with business objectives
- Working across teams in a global organization and being enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a great collaborator
- Lead and develop a team of highly motivated and created Product Managers
- Capture market and competitive intelligence to inform the platform direction
What you bring:
- 7+ years experience in Product Management and, preferably, exposure to a log analytics, security, or observability product area
- 3+ years experience managing teams
- Experience working directly with technical engineering teams and in a matrixed Product Management team environment
- An ability to navigate complex decision-making and effectively communicate across teams will be critical to success.
- Demonstrable ability to work effectively with both, technical and business leaders
- Understanding and ability to define technical specifications, write high-level documents, and interpret security and compliance requirements into concrete product requirements
- Excellent communication and proven track record with deep customer engagements, hands-on execution and timely delivery
- BS degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. An MBA is a plus
