Building Operations Assistant 

The building operations assistant will support schools with operations as they reopen buildings. As a temporary member of school-site operation teams for spring of 2021, they will work with staff to help ensure that our schools are safe and operationally sound. 

They will support daily health and safety screening for students and staff, monitor hallways, restrooms and other open spaces, maintain health and safety signage in the buildings, equip spaces with and support distribution of personal protective equipment and help with other front office tasks.

The building operations assistant is a part-time hourly role. Hours are generally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for 8 am - 3:30 pm but may vary by school site. This role has a base pay of $15.90 per hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Support daily health and safety screening which includes checking a health questionnaire (we are not doing temperature checks)
  • Monitor hallways, restrooms, open spaces, et al
  • Maintain health and safety signage, tape, markers, etc in the buildings
  • Equip spaces with and support distribution of PPE
  • Help with other front office tasks consistent with our office assistant role

  • Prior School and/or Office Experience is strongly preferred
  • Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
  • Clear health and background check
