Substack is a platform that helps writers achieve financial independence through their publishing. We are looking for scrappy, get-it-done sales representatives to spread the word about what we’re building and bring new writers to the platform. We need reps who can think creatively about how to uncover new communities of writers that might be a great fit for Substack’s subscription-driven model, and craft a pitch that will really resonate. We are looking for someone to join us on a 3 - month contract basis and this role can be done remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
Be one of the first sales representatives on Substack’s GTM team — build the roadmap for driving product adoption in new markets
Use email and social media to reach out to writers, book time to speak with them, and make sure they launch their Substack publication successfully
Partner closely with Marketing and Data teams on a go-to-market strategy, building lists of leads, and then feeding insights and opportunities back into our Product & Growth teams
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Data, Product, Growth, Marketing etc.) to deliver on sales objectives
Previous experience in sales at a high-growth, product-led SaaS company, preferably with a focus on high velocity outbound conversations
Ability to sift through data (analytics, insights, user research, etc.) to identify solutions and make decisions
Interest in building the playbook (principles, strategy) and then scaling it (building solutions, processes and teams)
Demonstrated ability to drive projects that require partnership from different teams, which may require iterations, testing and learning
CRM (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.) experience is a plus
