As a Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions to support our lending operations. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual with ample knowledge in the financial sector, particularly in banking or financial institutions, to join our team of passionate professionals dedicated to driving disruption in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and secure technology solutions to support our lending platform and operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements in cloud environments (Oracle Cloud preferred)
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Product Officer (CPO) or Product Lead to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that our technology roadmap aligns with our product strategy and user needs.
- Build the technology team and participate in the hiring process of passionate engineers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to optimize performance, security, reliability, and maintainability of our software applications.
- Responsible in delivering cybersecurity requirements in licensing phase and post go-live phase.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, compliance, and marketing, to prioritize features, plan sprints, and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the financial sector and cybersecurity evaluating their potential impact on our business and recommending strategic investments in technology innovation.
- Drive the adoption of agile development methodologies, including scrum, Kanban or any other, to improve productivity, transparency, and collaboration within the technology team.
- Collaborate with senior management to define the technology roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources effectively to achieve strategic objectives.
- Oversee networking architecture and ensure security and robustness of network set up and data transfer.
- Develop and enforce DevOps practices, including the use of Oracle Kubernetes, Terraform, Github Actions, Helm, and Docker to streamline deployment and operational processes.
- Implement DevOps best practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Collaborate with product managers and other technical leaders to align technological solutions with business needs.
- Manage IT budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain high availability and reliability of all technical systems and infrastructure.
- Manage internal technology needs and set up
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing technology solutions for the financial sector and working as a tech lead
- Strong proficiency in full stack JavaScript technologies including NodeJS, NestJS, and ReactJS. as well as experience with modern JS frameworks and libraries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience in cloud computing platforms (e.g. Oracle, AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
