Job Description:

Stronghold Investment Management is seeking candidates for the role of Family Office Accountant to directly support the Family Office Controller of a UHNW single family office. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment with a focus on process improvement and scalability.

 Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping, recordkeeping and general ledger maintenance for personal entities owned by Managing Partner
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with other recurring reports
  • Facilitate bank reconciliations, manage cash movement, and oversee all insurance coverage
  • Manage accounts payable and related documentation
  • Implement process improvement initiatives
  • Manage chart of accounts
  • Manage loan covenants and compliance
  • Ad hoc property management and vendor management
  • Display good judgement and integrity
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience working for or with a family office, hedge fund, private equity fund, or fund administrator is preferred
  • Familiarity with tax filing deadlines and managing outside tax preparers
  • Familiarity with co-investment and carried interest
  • Familiar with Oil & Gas assets
  • Experience with Private Funds, Hedge Funds, Real Estate Assets, & property management vendors
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and strong analytical skills
  • CPA is a plus but not required
  • High proficiency with Excel and Word is expected; expert level experience with QuickBooks is required
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, discreet, and trustworthy
  • Must have a strong work ethic, demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team player and independently, and possess the flexibility necessary to engage in all functional and administrative aspects of an accounting role
