Job Description

As a Software QA Engineer on the Strider team, your responsibilities will include both manual and automated testing such as the testing and verification of code, reporting and recording defects, collaborating with Product owners and software developers on testing and testing results, documenting test scripts, and participating in design reviews, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.

What you will do:

Plan and implement day-to-day testing activities.
Coordinate with Software Developers and Product Owners within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Participate in Scrum meetings and product planning.
Write test scripts based on defined and approved user stories and acceptance criteria.
Execute all phases and types of testing: user story testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing of releases, and performance testing.
Document the test results and coordinate with developers as needed.
Assist with the building of test strategies & methodologies, automation, and application monitoring.
Understand complex business and functional requirements and provide direction in designing the technical test cases that thoroughly test SaaS applications and meet the associated product requirements.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements and potential issues.
Work with product, and engineering teams in implementing and enforcing quality gates throughout the production pipeline.
Proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement in the testing process or other processes that cross all products and test frameworks.
Create automated test scripts and integrate automated test suite as part of each release’s testing phases

What you will need to be successful:

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and possess 2+ years of experience in quality assurance testing.
Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
High attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while successfully meeting deadlines.
Experience working in a complex engineering environment with prior experience as a quality assurance tester.
Experience working with an automated test suite such as Selenium or Cypress.
Experience in manual testing, writing, and executing test cases against a client-facing web application.
Experience using JIRA or other project management software.
Experience in SQL
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology or a related field
