We are looking for a Director of IT to lead our information technology infrastructure and operations. This role is critical in ensuring our systems and networks are efficient, secure, and scalable to support the growth of Strava. You will drive strategic initiatives, manage critical IT projects, and lead a diverse team.
This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office.

Lead IT Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead, manage and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative environment that exemplifies Strava’s values
- Be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of IT projects to support business goals.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and manage the internal tooling they provide.
Ensure Robust IT Infrastructure:
- Lead and optimize IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems.
- Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
Drive Innovation:
- Identify and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support innovation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Strong background in architecting and implementing scalable technology solutions
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrable ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
