About This Role

The IT Corporate Systems team is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and securing the systems that power Strava’s IT infrastructure. As a Sr. Systems Administrator on the team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners across the company to continually assess and improve the overall IT infrastructure as well as manage the IT footprint for all of our employees. This role falls under the People and Places organization, which works on supporting the company by building equitable and inclusive policies, programs, and practices.
The Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for managing technical initiatives, providing Tier III support for the Helpdesk, as well as overall support for Strava’s corporate systems. You will partner closely with our Service Desk teams to enforce established procedures and even develop/suggest new processes or operating procedures.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:
- Analyze and improve efficiency, stability, and security of Strava’s IT infrastructure
- Assist with planning and acting as the technical point person for assigned projects
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for your delivery area that synthesizes the needs of collaborators over the long and short term
- Implement, support and ongoing operations of our identity solution management - Okta
- Implement, support and ongoing operations of our MDM solution - JamF/InTune
- Function as a backup to the support technicians on an as needed basis
- Sleuth out solutions for unique, first in its class projects
- Create, troubleshoot, and document technical interactions between employee endpoints and Strava infrastructure systems
- Function as the lead technical escalation point for the IT department
- Help implement policies and procedures around security, and ensure all deployed computers have valid encryption and endpoint security and management software
- Identify areas for improvement of the system and make appropriate recommendations for streamlining workflows and processes through knowledge of best practices, industry trends, and available product
- Work and strategize with the People & Places team on multi-functional IT projects that cover areas in deployment and configuration, security, identity, and device management

- Collaborating with members of IT and other business partners in People, Legal and Engineering. Collaboration helps the team deliver value, solve issues and drive projects to completion.
We’re excited about you because:
- A related technical degree required
- Experience deploying and maintaining SSO solutions like Okta
- Strong experience in SaaS services management (Google Workspace, Okta, MDM, Jira/Confluence, etc.).
- Technical proficiencies:
- 8+ years hands on experience with engineering operations or enterprise operations
- 3+ years of experience managing an Apple focused MDM and MacOS scripting (JamF, AirWatch, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience managing cloud based SaaS platforms
- 3+ years of experience administering a business applications platform (Google Workspace/G-Suite, Microsoft 365, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in corporate networks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Strong work ethic, friendly presence and helpful attitude, the desire to learn and is not afraid to ask questions
- Have an analytical mind. Being able to technically analyze a situation is key to solving issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
