As the Business Analyst you will be integral to helping set strategy and uncovering great community stories via data for the Strava Business team. This role is an outstanding combination of analytics and business/sales development. In this role you will be responsible for translating data into learnings and recommendations, ensuring dashboards and information delivery are robust and insightful. Responsibilities will include:
Coordinate with teams and verticals inside Strava to deliver insights. You will work closely with Analytics, Product, Business Development and Revenue.
Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement by diving into athlete behavioral data and product usage.
Ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of data insights and that information is presented professionally.
Build self service analytical tools (data pipelines, dashboards, etc.) to automate common requests from both partner and operational leads.
Ability to self-prioritize and turn around data requests quickly.
Learning and mastering the Strava athlete and data ecosystem.
Translating client feedback into deep insights.
Using industry trends, research, and data to provide partner product pricing guidelines and recommendations.
Analyzing success metrics to build reporting & inform powerful case studies.
You are extremely organized and have a business-oriented mentality. You have a great ability to thrive in a constantly evolving start-up environment. Most of all, you are curious and eager to learn! Other requirements include:
2-3 years of full time experience in an analytics, sales operations, or business analytics role.
You are highly proficient with SQL (required) and comfortable using joins, case statements, sub queries, window functions.
You are proficient with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau / Looker).
Awareness of digital sales cycles and comfortable working with sales data and forecasting.
Eager to make your mark. You are able to spot things in data that others have overlooked and are comfortable making recommendations and helping the broader team improve our product and ways of working.
Communicates effectively with business and client partners. Must have outstanding written, oral, and cross-cultural communication skills - especially when it comes to reading data and presenting it in a visually professional manner.
Excellent understanding of reporting and forecasting best practices.
Proven track record of meeting goals and keeping projects on pace System proficiency.
You have deep experience in working with the Google or Microsoft suite of products including Excel / Sheets and Powerpoint / Slides to both synthesize and present data insights.
