We're seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Payments and Checkout team. You'll work on developing and maintaining both customer-facing and internal account and billing systems. What You Will Do:

As a member of the Payment and Checkout team at Storyblocks, the leading motion stock media platform, you'll help enhance and maintain critical payment systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing consumer subscription features using Recurly
  • Building tools to help our internal teams better support customers
  • Architecting and maintaining our billing, user management, and API systems

You'll collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and key stakeholders to design, implement, test, and deploy solutions.

Required

  • 6+ years of full-stack engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in modern technologies including TypeScript, Node.js, and PHP
  • Experience handling large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
  • Proven experience with distributed systems architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams

Preferred

  • Frontend development experience with React and Next.js
  • Backend development experience with Nest.js
  • Experience working in a Turborepo monorepo environment
  • Track record of designing and implementing internal/external APIs

    • Competitive and fair compensation: We believe in fair pay--equal pay for equal work. For each title, we consistently apply competitive salary bands based on market data and benchmarks which are reviewed twice a year. What you’ve been paid before, fear of conflict, or willingness to negotiate does not play a part in determining your pay.
      • The annual base salary range for this position is $137,000 - $153,000. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
