The Role: 

As the Payment Network Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our payment network operations. You will ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our payment systems, including managing relationships with financial institutions and associations, payment processors, and other stakeholders. 

Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing payment processes, minimizing risks, controlling budget and implementing industry best practices in Mexico and LATAM, to enhance our performance and help Stori’s growth not only in Mexico but also in LATAM. 

Main responsibilities:

  1. Payment Network Management: Manage and optimize our payment network infrastructure, including but not limited to banking relationships, payment processors, and card networks.
  2. Relationship Management: Grow and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, payment processors, and other third-party partners to ensure smooth operations, as well as negotiate favorable terms.
  3. Compliance and Risk Management:  Stay close to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to payments, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard against fraud and other risks.
  4. Payment Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve payment processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall customer experience. Working closely with our different teams in order to have a cross-collaboration between different teams.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payment network operations, analyze trends, and prepare regular reports for management review.
  6. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and grow a team of payment analyst professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities as needed.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as R&D, Finance, IT, Fraud, Ops, etc., to ensure alignment and synergy in payment network operations.

What we are looking for:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.

- 7 years of experience in payment network management and financial services. 

- Strong understanding of payment systems, brand requirements , card networks, and alternative payment methods.

- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions and payment processors.

- Proven track record of implementation projects in topics around payments and networks

- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to payments.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
