You will

  • Spearheaded the enhancement and continuous evolution of our credit decision engine, focusing on robustness, efficiency, and security.
  • Forge strong partnerships with the data science team to integrate advanced credit decisioning models seamlessly into our backend systems.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, coordinating with multiple squads to ensure the decisioning engine aligns with broader company objectives and strategies.
  • Manage the lifecycle of system architecture, from concept and design to deployment and monitoring, ensuring our infrastructure supports complex decisioning processes effectively.
  • Proactively address system monitoring, guaranteeing high availability, and swiftly tackling any issues or anomalies.
  • Apply machine learning insights to refine and optimize credit decisioning, working closely with data scientists to understand and implement these advancements.
  • Navigate the requirements gathering process, distilling inputs from various stakeholders into actionable, prioritized features.
  • Develop and manage third party vendor relationships that provide additional inputs to our decisioning engine.
  • Stay informed on the latest in fintech innovations, regulatory changes, and technology trends to keep our systems at the cutting edge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field, with a strong preference for advanced degrees.
  • At least 5 years in a technical leadership role, ideally within fintech or banking, with a spotlight on credit and underwriting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of backend technologies, system design, and architecture, paired with expertise in system monitoring.
  • An understanding of machine learning concepts, especially as they apply to financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across teams and disciplines, with a track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, capable of conveying complex concepts to a diverse audience.
