SN8 Finance and Operations Lead

As part of the SN8 core team, you will be a strategic, financial and operational thought partner to our CEOs and functional business leaders. You will play an integral part in driving and supporting financial planning with business partners, building dynamic, detailed, scalable financial models and most importantly, turning your insights into actionable strategic initiatives (from idea generation through implementation) to optimize the company’s operations and financials.

What You’ll Do

  • Partnering with our CEOs and businesses - work closely with company leaders to develop financial forecasts, financial analysis and key performance indicators, apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision making that aligns capital and resource allocation with the company’s strategic priorities
  • Financial reporting and month end close - work with business, finance team partners and our external book-keeper to ensure we have accurate and actionable numbers for our businesses on which to base decisions 
  • Management of our ~$30M procurement and vendor spend – outside of the cost of our incredible workforce, payment for goods and services is our largest cost line item and we think there are significant opportunities to build better processes and speed here
  • Scale and transition from startup to mature enterprise - we need the best people on board to help us refine our planning processes, and ensure finance standard methodologies and accountability are spread throughout the organization
  • Special projects / strategic initiatives/ ad hoc analyses - new initiatives, ideas, opportunities are constantly arising. We are incredibly data focused and you will help evaluate and factually ground these initiatives


What You'll Need

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years in Banking and/or Corporate Finance /Operational FP&A at either a high-growth company or a large, well-established organization
  • Extraordinary Excel / financial modeling skills
  • Attention to detail combined with swift execution
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills - numbers are key, but a business is built with people
  • The ability to distill complex analyses and nuanced problems into simple, logical, easily communicable frameworks with concrete action plans
  • High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills are required in our fast-moving environment
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter - You will take initiative, be enthusiastic and resourceful, set and drive toward solutions / goals in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving environment


Also good to have!

  • SQL skills - the ability to self-serve, investigate and produce the data we require is key
  • Systems - working knowledge of enterprise-level financial planning systems
