About the role

The Team Captain - Retail Management is a key member of the retail team responsible for staff performance, branding and image, buyer/seller journey, customer service, order fulfillment, quality assurance, inventory accuracy, and materials procurement. This position will ensure that customers are satisfied, retail buying targets are met, drop off KPI’s are exceeded, staffing levels at the back of the house are correct based on the needs of the business. The team member will oversee the retail market associates, ensure quality and drive business for the store. They will work with business, retail and operations leadership and other teams to adjust strategies as needed.

What you'll do

  • Manage team member responsibilities to meet the daily business demands
  • Oversee the store operations including coordinating with logistics service providers, store opening and closing
  • Meet customer acquisition and sales targets
  • Growth in customer satisfaction scores
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment and shipment of all customer transactions
  • Oversee raw materials procurement and inventory levels
  • Support accurate inventory through proper inventory management and cycle count procedures
  • Maintain drop off receiving standards
  • Collaborate and organize training on an ongoing basis to improve knowledge on all aspects of the business with a heavy emphasis on performance and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to retail market associates for questionable product
  • Be the StockX brand ambassador, approach and engage our customers, tell our stories, solve customer enquiries and provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with Retail strategy team
  • Support manual work including loading or loading goods into the trucks if needed

About you

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Proven experience leading a team in a retail setting
  • Good communicator, interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Solid understanding of customer service, retail operations and quality assurance
  • Must be able to prioritize work and delegate out daily tasks
  • Strong leadership presence and effective communication skills
  • Proven ability providing direct feedback to team members
  • Thorough knowledge of sneakers, streetwear and hype culture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Willing to work a flexible work schedule
  • Ability to lift / carry 40 lbs
