About the role

The Team Captain, Retail Operations supports the Business and Operations Directors to ensure that customers have a positive brand experience and that the employees have a positive and efficient work environment. At times this role will be the leader of the store for both front and back of the house, and at other times they will play a supporting role in the retail operation.


What you'll do

  • Support Business and Operations Directors in managing different elements of the store including service, operations, environment, team and brand experience
  • Manage team member responsibilities to meet the daily business demands and productivity targets
  • Create a positive experience for the variety of customers that enters the StockX space
  • Professionally communicate the purpose of StockX and any other retail initiatives to customers
  • Provide feedback to staff that helps them improve their performance
  • Delegate tasks to staff to ensure time is being used efficiently
  • Foster relationships with customers, build relationships with repeat customers
  • Lead by example and support the team by filling in any area that is needed
  • Provide feedback to staff that helps them improve their performance
  • Maintain the visual standards of the store
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Oversee raw materials procurement and inventory levels
  • Support Retail and marketing events as required


About you

  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
  • Proven experience providing direct feedback to team members.
  • Thorough knowledge of the product on the StockX marketplace
  • Passion for customer service and for developing team members
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule


The work for the position is in a retail setting that requires a lot of standing and moving around throughout the day. Physical labor such as moving product around, receiving shipments, or sending out orders could be part of the job.
This position will require working weekends and may have inconsistent days off.
