About the role
As a Localization Project Manager you will be in charge of delivering a great user experience to our international audience.You will collaborate with internal x-functional teams of product, engineering, design, international, CS, content etc. as well as with the external vendors and freelancers.
A successful candidate will be highly motivated and have prior localization experience with consumer products on the client-side. You are adept at launching localized products in multiple languages and have launched new languages/markets, managing the localization workflows end-to-end. You have experience being the voice of the international customer, understanding their needs, and working with product, design and engineering to find solutions to meet those needs.
What you'll do
Independently manage localization projects for product, emails, and content. Oversee localization workflows, and ensure that timelines and SLAs are adhered to.
Partner with vendors and freelancers to ensure that they have the context for content being translated; manage deliveries, timelines and SLAs.
Ensure localization best practices are followed to minimize downstream issues.
Manage the localization review workflow and coordinate with language reviewers.
Prioritize and track localization and bugs and report to stakeholders.
BA/BS with at least 2+ years experience as Localization Project/Program Manager in a consumer product organization.
Proven ability to pivot, execute and deliver in a start-up environment.
Experience with and comfortable working across time zones, functions, levels, and cultures.
Hands-on experience working with translation management tools and ability to set up localization workflows and projects in TMS tools.
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
Jira user and a basic understanding of software development processes.
EU or APAC language speaker with an education background in Linguistics or Localization Project Management.
Ability to communicate with technical teams.
Experience with TM tools such as Smartling.
