Stitch is a payments infrastructure company on a mission to make it easier for enterprise businesses to connect to the financial system and build better experiences for their customers.

The Role

The Full Stack Engineer (card infrastructure) integrates card processing systems and ensures secure, efficient transactions. This role supports Stitch’s mission to deliver exceptional client experiences and uphold our high standards of security and compliance within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and maintain card processing systems, focusing on ISO8583 connections and 3DS.
  2. Ensure PCI compliance and uphold security standards in all solutions.
  3. Write reliable and maintainable code tailored to high-volume transaction environments.
  4. Collaborate with the product team to enhance system consistency and improve the client experience.
  5. Contribute to the team through code reviews, pull requests, and participation in Agile ceremonies.
  6. Engage in all stages of software development, including architecture design, performance evaluation, code review, and internal tool management.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to card processing and secure payment systems.
  8. Continuously improve software efficiency with a focus on user experience and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience as a developer working with business-critical systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO8583 and 3D Secure protocols.
  • Strong understanding of PCI compliance and secure coding practices.
  • Thorough understanding of software engineering best practices, including Agile software development, source code control, and testing frameworks.

Nice to haves:

  • Functional programming experience
  • Strong application security experience, particularly in financial services.
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing host-to-host connections at scale.
