As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of STEM, you will play a pivotal role in driving the operational success and strategic growth of our organization. You will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and maximize organizational impact.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline processes and optimize performance across all departments.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maximize the opportunities presented by technology and ensure the integrity of data and the security of systems and key databases.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plans to deliver required growth targets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks in the STEM education landscape.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the company's financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure financial stability, profitability, and sustainability.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue generation.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build leadership capability in STEM to ensure an empowering culture to create a great place to work, supporting people development, creating robust succession plans, and improving retention of employees.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment that values creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.

Partnership and Stakeholder Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage resources and expertise in support of shared goals and initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven track record of executive commercial leadership and operational management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the Pharmaceutical Service Provider Industry.
  • Strong strategic planning and business development skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Excellent financial acumen, with experience in managing a P&L including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive results.
