About the Position 

We are hiring a Full-stack Engineer! In our world that means someone comfortable working with customers, cloud technologies, and lots of our internal APIs. They will care about things like stability, monitoring, and scalability. They will participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of existing and new public-facing APIs to power customer integrations. They will spend their days working directly with other developers, project managers, customers, and testers. 

Responsibilities include (but are not necessarily limited to): 

  • Create and influence best practices and standards to support world-class external APIs 
  • Lead problem-solving and experimentation exercises  
  • Collaborate with teammates companywide across multiple product lines 
  • Know, teach, and follow reliability, performance, and scalability best practices  
  • Create and maintain APIs that enable customers to solve real integration problems 
  • Work with customers to understand the capabilities necessary to power advanced integrations and process automation 
  • Work with our strategic partners to maintain technical knowledge, produce documentation, and provide the best development and integration experience for our shared clients 

Required skills: 

  • Knowledge of cloud-based application development technologies, frameworks, and patterns  
  • Familiarity with full-stack design and development  
  • Experience implementing REST APIs, preferably in modern C# and .NET Core 
  • Familiarity with multi-tier service architecture 
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills (oral and written)  
  • Knowledge of Git and Trunk-Based Development 
  • Ability to break down complex tasks into action items and execute the action items 

Bonus round: 

  • Self-starter, who consistently demonstrates the ability to produce excellent work 
  • Experience interfacing with customers and leading meetings 
  • Experience leading or driving projects from start to finish  
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication industry  
  • ERP or MRP knowledge  
  • Experience quoting and estimating  
  • Experience debugging and triaging issues in multi-tier service architectures 
  • Experience writing and maintaining API integration test suites
