STEEZY’s mission is to make dance the next big sporting and fitness category, starting with online dance classes. The Challenge:

We’re looking for a meticulous Digital Asset Manager to handle our growing inventory of large files. This individual will be responsible for managing footage, archives and other related Digital Imaging Technology duties, in addition to general archival maintenance and upkeep for all media libraries.

Things you will accomplish here:

  • Prepare the computer, software and hardware for media verification, media storage containers, and file taxonomy
  • Assist with equipment tests and ensuring capture quality is state-of-the-art, while tracking gear/warranties
  • Coordinate with external vendors for file storage improvements, miscellaneous projects
  • Transfer, verify/QC, and archive all captured footage from studio productions in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the production and post production team to finalize and deliver necessary assets
  • Maintain and manage final assets from post team to archival libraries
  • Build and maintain Raid Arrays through hardware and system’s health checks
  • Ensure backup to Direct Attached Storage (DAS), Cloud, Network Attached Storage (NAS) and LTO8
  • Verify editing notes match production media and are maintained accordingly in a timely manner

What success in this role looks like to us: 

  • Proficiency with macOS
  • In-depth experience managing massive databases of files independently with minimal supervision
  • Thorough understanding of commonly used A/V codecs and resolutions
  • Experience working on set as a Digital Imaging Technician
  • Experience working in a startup environment, specifically in post-production
  • Working knowledge of Silverstack Lab
  • Working knowledge using LTO8 LTFS archival
  • Experience managing and building NAS Servers (QNAP), switches, routers, permissions, security, snapshots, syncs etc
  • Working knowledge of project management solutions and databases (i.e. Airtable, Asana)
  • Experience using cloud backup solutions such as Backblaze B2 Cloud, S3, etc
  • Experience managing Iconik, or any other cloud management software

  • CMS tools
  • Blackmagic Studio Cameras and Recorders
  • DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Pro Tools
  • Data recovery software
  • FTP software
