About the Role
As a Data Warehouse Architect, you will be crucial in designing a dynamic and scalable data warehouse from the ground up. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop models, and oversee the implementation. Your expertise in data architecture, ETL processes, database systems, and business intelligence will be the driving force behind the organization's data analytics strategy.
Please note - this is a 3-6 months contract position.
You Will
- Design and develop a green-field data warehouse solution
- Define and enforce data governance standards, data quality processes, and data security policies within the data warehouse environment.
- Ensure data warehouse scalability to handle growing data volumes and maintain high availability and reliability of data warehouse systems.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product management, and engineering to understand data requirements, define data access patterns, and support advanced analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging data warehouse technologies, tools, and best practices; evaluate and recommend new technologies or enhancements to existing systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for data storage, ETL processes, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
You Have
Must Have:
- Principal-level experience in data warehouse design, development, and implementation, preferably in an ISV or startup environment.
- Strong expertise in data storage, modeling techniques, and ETL processes.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, Mongo DB, and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality management, data security practices, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex data requirements and translate them into scalable data warehouse solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and document technical designs and processes.
Nice to Have:
- C# / .NET experience
- Experience with machine learning and cognitive APIs
- Experience with AWS
- Experience working in ISV or Commercial Sofware environment
