Who we are

Station A is the first AI-powered clean energy marketplace that aims to make clean energy cheaper, more accessible, and more transparent to everyone. Our mission is to transition the world to 100% clean energy.

We are a seed-stage company and passionate team of fourteen, based in the San Francisco Bay Area (remote friendly). Multiple projects have now run through our marketplace, we have over 2,000 providers in our network, and we have a growing pipeline of more than $600M in clean energy projects under evaluation by buyers. We're now looking to scale our impact and enable anyone to easily power a building with 100% clean energy.

Your contribution

As a Director of Business Development & Sales at Station A, you will evangelize, market, and build partnerships with providers and buyers of clean energy. As one of our main conduits to customers and partners, you will play a critical role in helping make clean energy cheaper, more accessible, and more transparent to everyone. Your expected start date will be in the second quarter of 2022.

Your role

As a leader on our commercial team at Station A, you will play an integral role in growing our business development and sales efforts:

  • Communicate and pitch a different approach that changes the status quo and adds significant value to a customer, i.e. this is not a commodity sale
  • Create, administer, and implement business development strategies and tactics for the company
  • Identify, evaluate, solicit, and follow-up with Buyers through multiple sales, communications, and marketing methods, e.g. cold calling, conference attendance, social media, public relations, drip campaigns, presentations, etc.
  • Originate and develop relationships with Buyers to identify and meet prospects’ business needs
  • Structure, negotiate, and close a wide range of commercial opportunities, including different types of deals, customers, and contract values
  • Help clarify product-market-fit and establish a repeatable, scaleable process to grow our pipeline
  • Help shape the growth of the commercial team at Station A
  • Figure out creative ways to scale and streamline sales operations in a startup environment
  • Manage sales budget to deliver to specific business goals

Additionally, you will collaborate regularly with the rest of the team:

  • Work with the marketing team to strategize on marketing campaigns, including email newsletters, social media posts, and digital advertisement
  • Work with the engineering and product teams to help collect customer feedback, and provide input on product releases and product requirements
  • Work with business operations to streamline reporting of sales metrics
