Standvast Fulfillment seeks an HR Generalist to support the HR function for the company.  Standvast is leveraging a track record of developing best in class supply chains for the world’s leading e-Commerce businesses to develop a technology-enabled, purpose-built e-Commerce fulfillment platform focused on high-growth brands.  Standvast serves the thousands of brands generating billions of e-Commerce sales and will become a critical element to their success so they can serve their customer with excellence at a far faster pace than otherwise possible, creating scaled margin growth and risk reduction.  This role provides an entrepreneurial opportunity to define how Standvast operates with excellence, impact the success of the organization, and help invent for our customers. This position is located in Columbia, MD and will report to the Head of People.

Position Summary:


The HR Generalist is responsible for partnering with leadership team to create an outstanding employee experience by:

  • Being the first point of contact for our employees for HR related questions and issues.
  • Partnering with our Operations population to:
    • Ensure time and attendance data is up to date and accurate.
    • Process payroll and ensure we pay our employees correctly and on-time.
    • Hire, terminate, and manage leaves of absence.
    • Keep up to date all roster and HR data.
  • Onboard new employees including HR forms and data and help employees with benefits enrollment. 
  • Ad-hoc projects to help the leadership team as we grow our team.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of HR Administration experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred (high volume e-Commerce fulfillment, high volume 3rd party logistics, truckload, transportation, or freight management department/company).
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. The ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including upper management, other departments, and interact with various work behavior styles.
  • Manage difficult or emotional situations and respond promptly to employee needs, including conflict resolution
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities, give and welcome feedback, contribute to building a positive team environment
  • Be flexible, collaborative, and possess grit to overcome challenges and push forward.
