This is a full time role and can be based remotely anywhere in Italy. Standard AI is a fully remote company. We want our employees to have the flexibility to create work habits, locations, and schedules that best fit their lives.
What you'll do here:
- Develop high-performance software systems to efficiently process data from various sources and deliver outputs with minimal latency.
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to design, develop, debug, and support our service ecosystem, ensuring seamless delivery of model results to our production systems.
- Partner with cloud platform teams to design, develop, debug, and maintain our scalable data platform and its internal services.
- Promote and uphold our culture of engineering excellence, serving as the go-to expert for Rust and software performance optimization.
- Work with our tech stack, including Rust, GCP/GCS, Docker/Kubernetes, and OpenTelemetry/Grafana.
What you’ve done before:
- You’ve developed great coding skills and are proficient in Rust development.
- Worked on projects where software performance was a key factor for success, and you have optimized the code and systems for maximizing efficiency.
- You are Comfortable with cloud environments, containerization frameworks, and continuous integration platforms.
- Preferred but not required if you are familiar with:
- Streams of data
- 3D geometric problems
- Tracking problems
- You have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.

We offer very competitive compensation. In addition to the Base Salary, we also offer Stock Options and Best-in-Class Benefits. The total compensation package will depend on multiple factors such as location, level, related experience and interview performance.
