About the Machine Learning Engineer Position
We are seeking to hire our first Machine Learning Engineer to join the Stairwell team. This person will help us analyze the data coming from the Stairwell platform to help us continue to build and improve our product. We are seeking someone who enjoys creating innovative solutions, and managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. To be successful in the role, the ideal person will need to possess excellent skills at discerning patterns from large scale data, finding opportunities to improve products using insights from data, command over common tools of the trade, and an interest or familiarity with machine learning.
Machine Learning Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop the framework for how Machine Learning will operate at Stairwell, including working cross-functionally to define the problems the team will be solving for.
- Select and implement the foundations of the tools that will be used by Machine Learning Engineers in the future.
- Analyze the complex, multi-dimensional data that has been collected thus far, as well as the data we are continuing to collect, and work across multiple teams to help us continue to improve our product.
- Build data sets out of the large amount of data generated by the Stairwell platform.
Machine Learning Engineer Qualifications
- Stairwell doesn't believe a college degree is a requirement for any role. We embrace all people, who are able to perform at the highest levels of their field, regardless of how they obtained their education.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, or similar field.
- Ability to code and solve big data problems.
- Proficiency in working with different teams.
- Experience in helping to build and shape a product through their data analysis.
- Startup experience is a plus.
Additional Information (Colorado only*) Minimum Salary of $168,000 - $181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
