Stack Sports is looking for a passionate Cloud Engineer with experience building modern cloud infrastructure. We are a diverse team with responsibilities that revolve around making our products fast and reliable. We build and manage the infrastructure, as well as provide expertise in cloud services to the rest of the product and engineering teams.  You need to understand how to troubleshoot both Linux and Windows environments and should be comfortable working in GitLab and writing templates in various IaC technologies for provisioning infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be comfortable administering systems and services in both AWS and Azure. 



  • Knowledge and experience with Linux and Windows servers and managing Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience managing infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform (preferably Terraform Enterprise), Cloud Formation and ARM templates in Azure
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, TeamCity
  • Experience working in GitLab for source control, build and deployment pipelines
  • Experience working in AWS and managing AWS services
  • Experience working in Azure and managing Azure services
  • Working knowledge of Database Management Systems and RDS like Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Desire to take on difficult technical challenges
  • Responsibility for keeping our systems up to date and building a plan to support that
  • An understanding of TCP/IP networking and experience managing a complex network in a cloud environment
  • An understanding of network and application security
  • Experience with various monitoring tools, setting SLA/SLI/SLO and ensuring our systems meet those requirements
  • Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Ability to troubleshoot, document processes and procedures, and cross train other teammates
  • Desire to learn new things and to push yourself to be a key part of a great and diverse team
  • Ability to work remote, communicate effectively and be a fantastic team player


Nice to have:

  • AWS Solution Architect Certifications
  • Azure Solution Architect Certifications
  • Experience using Chef and AWS OpsWorks or some other CM  tool
  • Experience with Gitlab
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • New Relic knowledge
  • 3-5 years managing a complex Cloud Environment in either AWS or Azure
  • Ability to communicate with Engineering teams on all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
