Stack Sports is looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer with experience building modern cloud infrastructure. We are a diverse team with responsibilities that revolve around making our products fast and reliable. We build and manage the infrastructure, as well as provide expertise in cloud services to the rest of the product and engineering teams.  You need to understand how to troubleshoot both Linux and Windows environments and should be familiar with various CICD tools for managing deploy pipelines. You should be comfortable working in GitLab and writing templates in various IaC technologies for provisioning infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be comfortable administering systems in both AWS and Azure. 

 Must-haves:

  • Knowledge and experience with Linux and Windows servers and managing Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience managing infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation and ARM templates in Azure
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, TeamCity
  • Experience writing automations that utilize 3rd party APIs, using a modern high level language like C#, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby 
  • Experience working in GitLab for source control, build and deployment pipelines
  • Experience working in AWS and using AWS services to build infrastructure solutions
  • Experience working in Azure and managing Azure services
  • Working knowledge of Database Management Systems and RDS like Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Desire to take on difficult technical challenges
  • An understanding of TCP/IP networking and managing networking in a cloud environment
  • An understanding of network and application security
  • Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Ensuring our systems are monitored, writing monitoring rules and meeting uptime SLAs
  • Ability to troubleshoot, document processes and procedures, and communicate effectively
  • Desire to learn new things and to push yourself to be a key part of a great and diverse team

Nice to have:

  • AWS Certifications
  • Azure Certifications
  • Experience using Chef and OpsWorks
  • Experience with Gitlab
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kibana
  • New Relic knowledge
  • 3-5 years managing a complex Cloud Environment in either AWS or Azure
  • Ability to communicate with Engineering teams on all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
