From our humble beginnings as sports parents and coaches, we founded Stack Sports to transform the youth sports experience by helping other parents, coaches and administrators manage all aspects of their sports organizations. By developing easy-to-use team management and related solutions, we allow parents, players and coaches to focus on the game - not administrative duties. Our founders and employees wear many hats; successful entrepreneurs, loving parents, sports enthusiasts, community volunteers. Being able to juggle all the important aspects of life can be challenging as sports parents.

The Stack Sports team delivers market-leading software to youth sports governing bodies, sports associations, and leagues in North America. We are looking for an experienced Associate Creative Director to join our Plano-based product team. The Associate Creative Director will work closely with the product and development agile teams throughout the product life cycle. This role will need to balance both a great product visual design with an intuitive user-centered experience. Success is delivering a simple product design to support league directors, association registrars, coaches, and referees while still bringing the WOW! consumer experience to parents, athletes, and fans participating in youth sports activities.

We are looking for an individual with a demonstrated growth mindset who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and values the opportunity to make an impact on our client’s business and help Stack Sports grow in existing and new markets. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion
  • Partner with marketing to translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all product designs and marketing collateral
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Own creative vision for all of Stack Sports and help partner with the product team to bring that vision to life. 
  • You’re able to manage your own time, whether working with a team in a collaborative environment or working independently.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining style guides and standards
  • Partner with Head of Product on executive initiatives and go to market materials

Position Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of related experience designing useful, usable, and meaningful product interfaces.
  • Must have a visual product portfolio that displays visual and interactive product design abilities.
  • Understand the larger picture of where your design fits within the overall project/product experience.
  • Strong experience with modern design frameworks and tools
  • Experience with mobile design and best practices.
  • Passionate about designing visual elements to influence user behavior and interactivity.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the design process and design patterns but also the ability to work fast and deviate
  • Ability to operate in a startup environment and make maximum impact with available resources.
  • Experience planning and executing both redesigns as well as new-concept design projects, from start to finish.
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Having a passion and knowledge of the sports software space is a plus
