What We're Looking for:
We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering self-driving (L4) products that make the way we move safer, faster, and more efficient. We seek mission-driven, highly skilled people with deep experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing, tech development environments. The work location will be in the Pittsburgh, PA area. What Success Looks Like:
- Developed and maintained a safety culture that safeguards the reputation of our company and industry
- Managed all aspects of and serve as primary contact for the daily service operations of assigned autonomous vehicles at assigned location(s)
- Established and maintained a good interface with all relevant external and third-party service providers
- Established and maintained integrated business relationships with peers in testing, road operations, test engineering to ensure operational mission readiness
- Ensured daily tasks are prioritized, assigned and executed by you and/or staff
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with automotive/trucking and/or AV industry experience with sensors, compute, electrical, CAN, and base vehicle systems
- Provided preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial tractors and trailers, shop equipment and service vehicles
- Performed diagnostics using engine Original Equipment Manufacturer software. (Cummins Insite, Diagnostic Link, Wabco Toolbox, Bendix
- Performed advanced diagnostics and repairs on the components of tractor engines, drive trains, HVAC systems and communication systems by using technical and electronic equipment
- Current driver's license with a good standing driving record
- Strong knowledge of wiring, soldering, crimping, splicing, and repairing
- Strong competency in vehicle maintenance and diagnostics, trucking
- Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in building and repairing computer networking systems
- Experience with diagnosing and repairing modern CAN bus-based automotive systems
- An incredibly strong work ethic; one that shows meticulousness, gumption, and dependability
- Exceptional decision-making and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, especially with technical teams
- Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in high pressure situations
- A strong understanding of the importance of commercial success
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and traveling as required
- A safety-first mindset
- Functional knowledge and understanding of 49 CFR Parts 379, 390 & 396, the FMCSA’s CSA SMS program and how out-of-service hours are managed, mitigated and reported
- Proven ability to build and manage small teams
