About the role: 

You will be working in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You must be flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks and technologies. You should have a bias toward automation and a track record of creating automated solutions. You have experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing and resolving complex problems. You pay attention to detail and solve problems at their root.

At Sprout, it is expected that your technical knowledge demonstrates both depth and breadth. Leveraging the strengths of individual team members as peers and delegating tasks appropriately within the group for long term projects will all be critical tasks for this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead new Cloud-Technology implementations and integrations amongst existing SaaS tools.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and Product teams to identify and implement IT solutions.
  • Systems Administration and support, including security patching, new system deployment, and account administration
  • Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
  • Advise and consult with internal customers on risk assessment, threat modeling and fixing vulnerabilities
  • Participate in security compliance efforts
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
  • Understand business context to decisions made within and across groups
  • Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate secure, infrastructure focused tools and services
  • Troubleshoot operating system, application and high-level network issues. Documenting problems and resolutions and assessing their impact.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience producing technical communication, both written and verbal
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure for Remote Operations and Maintenance
  • Experience with operating, managing and integrating SaaS applications (G Suite, Okta, Jira, Jamf, Slack...)
  • Experience working in mission-critical, operations support environment amongst geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience with common configuration management solutions
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in high pressure situations and successfully handle multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to interact with other teams to diagnose and solve technical problems
  • Experience driving large, cross-organization initiatives
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Ability to make concrete progress in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge (can't suffer from “analysis paralysis”)
  • Experience with vulnerability risk and impact assessment
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
  • Experience with web-based applications and/or web services-based applications, especially at massive scale, are very applicable and helpful
  • BS level technical degree or 5+ years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in more than one high-level scripting language (Perl, Python, Ruby) is a plus.
  • Certifications in Okta, Slack, ITIL or any cybersecurity certifications is a plus.
  • Understanding and experience with HIPAA, Soc2, GDPR/CCPA compliance a definite plus

  • Demand - Identify, assist, and onboard families and patients who would benefit from Sprout’s services. This team works with families to understand pain points and optimize the patient journey from a patient’s first contact to the start of care.
  • Supply - Find, assess, train, and onboard world-class clinical practitioners. This team is responsible for the growth of our clinician ecosystem by attracting, recruiting, and retaining high quality autism care providers. 
  • Care - Build tools and provide services to optimize and improve the delivery of care. This team matches the right provider with the right family, coordinates ongoing clinical care, ensures high customer satisfaction, and manages the ongoing relationship with both patients and providers. 
  • Clinical - Improve the quality of care delivered to our patients. This team ensures that we provide strong clinical outcomes, develop training platforms to level up our providers, and maintain compliance with a variety of payor and regulatory requirements.

At Sprout, we are a globally distributed team with many of our team members located in the following cities: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, and Kyiv. While everyone currently works remotely, we envision a future that balances face to face collaboration with a remote friendly environment.
