SpotOn’s Network & System Administrators are responsible for designing, documenting, installing, and configuring systems, services, LANs, WLANs, WANs, VPNs, Internet and intranet systems, software, and equipment for use by our staff. The day-to-day involves working on SpotOn’s infrastructure to ensure security and stability. Additionally the System & Network Administrator will assist other departments within SpotOn who support Customer Networks for our products and services.

Responsibilities: 

  • System Administration
    • Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and administration of  our identity provider (IdP) platforms
    • Evaluate systems which enhance or replace those currently in place
    • Create and maintain internal support documentation for Systems team and relevant stakeholders
    • Provide training and mentoring to Systems team 
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation on audit events, security incidents and system changes
  • Network Administration
    • Responsible for LAN, WLAN, VPN, WAN, and ISP resources for SpotOn
    • Review patches and monitor patching, installation
    • Firmware upgrades on network devices (review and apply)
    • Perform physical server and network installs and maintenance
    • Monitor and address security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Endpoint Management
    • Administrative ownership of our fleet of endpoints using mobile device management tools
  • Communication & Productivity Administration
    • Support and administration of all communication and productivity tools.  This includes but is not exclusive to Zoom, Atlassian, Google Workspace, Slack, A/V, meeting support and any other communication or productivity tools currently in-use within the organization

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in building, configuring, and maintaining Identity Providers (IdP) such as Okta and Active Directory.
  • Extensive knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols
  • Software Security Patching Automation and Monitoring
  • Intermediate Networking (routing and switching and basic VPN configuration)
  • Proficient in VMWare Vsphere installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically
  • Project management skills
  • 2 years with Systems Management in an intermediate or lead role
  • 2 years with IdP
  • 2 years working with ISPs
  • 1 year with Meraki
  • 4-year technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional certifications are a plus

Compensation: 

  • Our base pay range is $110,000 -$140,000 for this role.
  • Please note the salary range listed is just one component of a competitive compensation package which includes a company stock plan.
  • Offers will be reflective of the candidate’s location and experience.
