Split is the industry's leading platform for feature delivery.  With the recent announcement of our Series D funding we are actively making investments in our product, people and process.  Our mission is simple - to empower companies to make smarter product decisions.  Product and engineering teams at Twilio, Salesforce, Comcast, EA, and JPMorgan Chase use Split to reduce software development cycles and create a data-driven culture.  We are looking for a Director of Data & Experimentation to join our growing team.   

As the Director of Data & Experimentation at Split, this individual is responsible for providing thought-leadership and guidance on how to evolve our current experimentation and measurement practice.  A successful candidate in this role is a mentor, active listener, proactive customer champion and strategic advisor.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive discussions with customers to understand test goals and establish a testing framework for test design, execution and documentation for A/B testing
  • Ability to talk to and debug technical issues related to data and experimentation to drive effective test design and set up
  • Optimize our experimentation and measurement best practices and create repeatable methodologies to continue to differentiate Split  
  • Opportunity to build out a world class team to ensure experimentation excellence and consistency across all Customer Success initiatives
  • Enable our Customers to create a Split center of excellence, drive best practice adoption and  initiate conversation around culture change in order to fully operationalize Split  
  • Partner with other cross-functional team members to translate business needs and product requirements into new solutions for customers



Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience running experiments at scale: driving experiments from ideation to completion, A/B testing, digital optimization ideally in-house and/or as a consultant
  • 3+ yrs of people management experience 
  • Experience with working with Customers and driving initiatives to help organizations develop a culture of experimentation a plus

 

Business Skills

  • Excellent presentation skills, in addition to verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven effectiveness at leading and facilitating community and executive discussions
  • Ability to translate complex terminology into a clear set of actions and next steps
  • Proven experience in managing large, complex project implementations
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and strong project management skills

 

 

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of agile methodologies and the elements of a software release cycle a plus
  • Background in statistics, data science, analytics, web optimization, A/B testing
