You will help change the landscape of the rocket launch industry and be an integral and unique part of a close-knit team of individuals operating in a high energy environment. As a Satellite Systems engineer, you will be helping develop SpinLaunch’s long-term technology roadmap throughtop level satellite systems design that will inform development of satellite systems hardware and software. This is a full-time position located at our new Long Beach, CA facility.
Your Mission:
Determine and manage requirements for satellite subsystems performance.
Assist the mission design team in assessing feasibility and cost of mission concepts.
Assist in organizing the efforts ofa team of engineers in development of hardware and softwarefor ruggedized satellites.
You Have:
5+ yearsprofessional design/development experience in satellite systems engineering or design.
Skill in using and creating software tools to model systems performance across a variety of disciplines (MATLAB, Python, Excel etc...)
Previous experience with space systems engineering.
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to rapidly expand application specific knowledge sets and skills where necessary.
Drive to bring projects to completion.
Strongly Desirable:
Previous experience with spacecraft and/or space mission top level design.
2+ years working on LEO constellation(s).
Master's degree in aerospace engineering with a focus on Spacecraft.
Breadth of experience leading satellite systems development and testing.
