Introduction

NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) operates a large Local Area Network (LAN). NSPA also provides services to both internal users and external customers from systems hosted in several data centres. The NSPA Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services are relying on three underlying infrastructures:

Network
1. Local Area Networks (LANs) to allow NSPA users to reachback ICT systems located in the NSPA datacenters.
2. Wide Area Networks (WANs) to allow NSPA remote offices and mobile users to securely reach back the NSPA datacenters located in Luxembourg
3. Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) to securely interconnect NSPA datacenters and Outside Cabling Plants (OCPs) located in Luxemourg.
Unified Communication
1. Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems,
2. Telephony systems composed of PBX, voice gateways, deskphones, softphones, mobile phones and smartphones.
3. Interfaces with other communication services such as voice mail, instant messaging, collaboration (e.g. MS SKYPE).
4. Federation with other NATO voice and video services.
5. Public Announcement Systems (PAS) and Massive SMS notification systems alarms
Datacentres
1. 2 Tier 4 datacenters externalized in Betzdorf and Bettembourg (LUX)
2. 1 datacenter in Capellen (LUX)
3. Smaller datacenters in Papa (HUN), Taranto (SOC) and Eindhoven (NL)

Tasks

Day-to-day Operation and Maintenance (O&M) type of consultancy services for network, Unified Communication (UC) and datacenter (DC) and support for projects related to specific network, UC and DC related projects.

Working Location

Main working location: Capellen, Luxembourg (NSPA HQ)
- Some projects may require business travel to other sites
- Some remote/hybrid work may be required

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday:
- Arrival 06:00 to 09:00
- Lunch break Minimum 30 minutes 11:45 – 13:45
- Departure 16:15 to 20:00
Friday
- Arrival 6:00 to 9:00
- Departure 12:15 to 17:00
Public Holiday of Luxenberg will be applicable

Qualifications and certifications
1. A university degree or equivalent professional experience of 5 years
2. One of the following CISCO certifications:
  - CCNP Voice
Proven knowledge and skills
1. The Senior Unified Communications Engineer must prove that he/she has a thorough understanding of these products and associated technologies, the ability to configure them, and significant deployment experience.
  - Cisco Communications Manager
  - Cisco Unity
  - Cisco VCS
  - Cisco TMS
  - Cisco Expressway
  - Cisco ISDN Gateway
  - Cisco Presence
  - Cisco Webex cloud
  - Informacast Public Announcement Systems
  - Cisco/Tandberg Video endpoints
  - Cisco/Tandberg Video endpoints
  - Cisco codecs
  - Cisco MCU
  - Microsoft Skype
Knowledge and Skills
1. The Senior Unified Communications Engineer must prove that he/she has knowledge of the following:
  - Knowledge of various networking environment operating systems
  - Knowledge of Microsoft products and technologies
  - Able to coordinate third-party maintenance or Unified Communications equipment
  - Experience with troubleshooting Unified Communications, Network and application performance with performance monitoring tools.
2. The Senior UC Engineer must prove that he/she has the following qualities:
  - Superior written and oral communication skills
  - Superior client facing skills
  - Ability to work on a flexible basis
  - Ability to perform some travel across European
Experience
1. The Senior Unified Communications Engineer must prove that he/she has the following experience:
  - 5 years’ experience in Unified Communications (voice and videoconferencing) specifically operational support
  - 3 years’ Experience with Daily Unified Communications, network and systems operational and support activities
  - 2 years' years’ experience in an Senior Unified Communications Engineer role, implementing and supporting Unified Communications infrastructures
  - 2 years’ experience with Cisco Unified Communications design.
Knowledge with NATO network infra
1. Knowledge of, and experience with NATO responsibilities and organization, and NATO's security environment
Language
1. French and English (one fluent, one working level)
Security Clearance
1. Valid NATO SECRET Personal Security Clearance

2. Any additional exam or certification
