Objective and Purpose: 

As Accountant II, you will be responsible for performing advanced accounting tasks that support the financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization. This role involves the preparation of financial statements, budget analysis, and general ledger management, specifically tailored to the unique needs of a dental corporation. The Accountant II will also assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting the overall financial strategy of the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare and review budget vs. actual reports and provide variance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and regulatory reports.
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data through regular audits and reviews.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Implement and maintain effective cash flow management practices.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
  • Implement best practices in accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 - 6 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in NetSuite, Bill.com, Concur platforms.
  • Experience in multi-site environments.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant status highly desired.

Work Conditions:

  • Candidate must be able to work in office 4 days a week.
  • Candidate must be able to travel as required for business needs.
  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
  • Candidate must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

 

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 / annum
