Our office, Southwest Florida Oral Surgery - Fort Myers, is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our busy specialty practice.
The Marketing Specialist is tasked with elevating the presence of a multi-location oral surgery practice of SWFOFS by expanding relationships with existing referring general dentist offices and establishing connections with new referral sources. The primary goal is to increase patient volume for each location through strategic marketing initiatives, with a focus on enhancing patient experiences and engagement. The Referral Specialist will act as concierge to our referring community and liaison between patients, referring providers and Practice Administrator.
Your Responsibilities
You will ensure excellent patient service and mainly implement the right processes and practices across the organization. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of the patient experience and implement best practices across all levels by including the following:
• Fostering relationships with existing and potential patient referral sources
• The Referral Specialist will lead in-person visits to dental offices
• Organize appreciation events
• Execute referral-related initiatives
• Monitoring marketing results with Practice Administrator
• Adapting strategies to align with industry and local trends
• Answering referral line
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information
• Review the schedule to ensure all that is necessary for appointment is correctly entered
• Communicate any concerns from referring doctors to Practice Administrator for resolution
• Assemble information concerning patient’s clinical background and referral needs
• Provide appropriate clinical information to specialist
• Review details and expectations about the referral with patient
• Dictations- ensuring referring doctors receive correspondence in a timely manner
• Back up check out/ large cases coordination
As one of the essential members of the team, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other responsibilities as assigned.

You are a resourceful marketing specialist who loves building and developing relationships via multiple channels (in-person, digital, and print). You're excited by the prospect of a patient leaving your office in a healthier, stronger, and more comfortable / happier being, each and every day. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who can proactively adjust to shifting priorities and values the chance to make an important impact.
You also have the following:
- BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
- Proven track record designing and executing successful marketing campaigns at a local level
- Prior experience within the dental industry preferred; experience within specialty dentistry a plus
- Prior B2C and B2B marketing experience preferred
- Solid experience with social media including Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
